St. John’s partners with GriefShare a network of thousands of grief recovery groups throughout the world. GriefShare is a group process designed to help you successfully travel the journey from mourning to joy.

In each GriefShare session our facilitators, Marnie Smith and Beverly O’Connor guide the group through a video presentation and discussion. Feel free to contact them for more information. Both ladies have experienced the loss of a spouse and family members and can share their insights.
The GriefShare videos feature interviews with leading authors, counselors, speakers, and pastors with years of expertise in grief recovery. You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each session is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin.

Men’s Bible Study

Located in the Heritage Room

We welcome all men to join us for Bible Study in which we explore one of the books of the Bible. Should you have questions about the study, just show up and see how much of a blessing this time will be for you.

On Thursday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Heritage Room, we will begin a study on the book of Nehemiah, a record of construction and controversy which ends the Exile and sets the stage for the arrival of the Messiah. We will be following Warren Wiersbe’s “Be Determined: Standing Firm in the Face of Opposition,” covering roughly one chapter every week through the end of August.  If you have any questions, please Email Jon Fredrickson or contact the Church Office, (708) 354-1690 x210 Give it a try!
