Every Sunday morning we offer several classes for adult study and conversation around the word of God during our educational hour (9:25am to 10:25am), where there are opportunities for the whole family to gather in groups for study, prayer and encouragement. Each is structured so that newcomers/visitors may join or try them out at any time in the cycle of the class curriculum.
We arrange our classes in a variety of settings and disciplines of study to help offer variety and connect with personal needs. There are four basic approaches to Christian studies (Biblical, Topical, Historical, Missional). While they all intersect around the living and active connections with the word of God, each discipline helps prepare us for living our faith in different ways.
Sunday Morning Adult Bible Class
Currently our adult education hour topic is The Challenge of Islam

MORE THAN THE MESSAGE
Join Pastor Ben during the Adult Bible Study hour as he “test drives” a potential resource to be utilized with St. John’s upcoming Small Group ministry!
Ever heard a message from the pastors that you wanted to dig more into? Ever want to take the “message” of the message and apply it directly to your life in a specific way? Ever want to share your insights into the passage of the Bible that the pastors preached on Sunday with others needing the benefits of your insights? Then come to Adult Bible Study from 9:25-10:25a.m. in the Heritage Room, where Pastor Ben will be giving a “message-based” study. Don’t worry! Whether you have heard the message or not, you will dig deeper into the passages the pastors have preached on, apply the teachings of both the passages and the pastors, and apply those to your lives today. This will be a 4 week study based on the sermon series in January, “Epiphanies”. Come and join us!
Sunday School currently meets in the music room altogether.
Sunday School Classes begin at 9:25am, are for Preschool-8th Grade, and run from September through May. We use the Cross Explorations curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. Click here to learn more about Cross Explorations.
