"...that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:10-11
Deadlines, Meetings, Paperwork, Committees, Requirements, Expectations, Housework, Family, Friends...
After reading the above list, are you feeling overwhelmed? Burned out? Are you feeling negatively, or do you see joy and happiness? How we handle what happens in our days makes ALL of the difference.
During the tough times, wouldn't you like to feel gratitude for the day? We Can! We need to BEGIN the day with God's Grace. We need to go to God in Prayer. When Jesus is first in our hearts and minds, then we allow our days of gripes and groans to become days of gratitude. As we confess with our tongue that Jesus is Lord of all and over all things, we are changing our focus from the negative to the positive. When we confess Jesus as Lord, we are giving our commitment to Jesus! We can look at life and count our blessings. Recite our reasons for gratitude. In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 it says: "Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's Will for you in Christ Jesus!"
We need to give our days to God. Ask Him to lead you. Praise Him for who He is, and trust Him to guide you through the day with joy! Don’t let negative things that happen in your day take a hold of you. Take it to Jesus in prayer. Praise Him for the day and ask Him to help you deal with the thoughts in your mind. Negative thoughts will never strengthen you. Bring it to Jesus so you can be filled with His Power and His Love. Give your day a chance to be what Jesus has planned for you! What power we have in Jesus! Use it!
Dear Jesus, Thank you for loving us so much that you did everything for us so we can live with you forever. Help us live our lives in that true joy by coming to you in prayer; knowing the power you have over everything we face. Thank you for this day and for all our blessings. In Your Name, Amen.
