Reporting Prayer Hours

Reporting for the Go-the-Distance Prayer Goal closed in June of 2010.

The prayer ministry of St. John’s is one of its greatest assets. And true to form it exceeded its goal! Weekly, dozens of people are praying for this ministry and its workers. We had 65 prayer partners actively praying for this ministry on a daily basis and they have collectively logged 1,687 hours in prayer. This doesn’t even account for prayer ministry groups that meet weekly and other ministries like “Connections” that connect confirmation youth with a prayer partner and mentor.

When God’s people pray, his harvest multiplies. We’re definitely not stopping at 1,000 hours of prayer! The 2010-2011 prayer goals have led an the effort to expand our practice of prayer in community. During that time monthly prayer vigils were held along with our prayer ministry activities such as our prayer walk, small group ministry prayer emphasis and substantial prayer activities among the leadership of the congregation.
