Multiply!

By grace we are stewards of the Kingdom of God. A healthy stewardship of his Kingdom cares for and uses our every resource to the glory of God. That means healthy bodies, healthy finances and healthy communities—all drawing their life from Jesus. Go-the-Distance is a Kingdom-Sized challenge in God’s work of multiplying. GTD is a year-long challenge to live healthy lives that produce and multiply fruit, connecting people to the Kingdom of God

In teaching us to pray, “Thy Kingdom Come,” the small catechism gives a truly wise insight.

“The Kingdom of God certainly comes by itself without our prayer, but we pray in this prayer that it may come to us also!”

In other words, God multiplies his kingdom with or without us (“all by itself” says Mark 4:28), but God gives us the distinct privilege of participating in multiplying his work of grace. Every time we pray in the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy Kingdom Come,” we’re really praying, “count me in, Lord… help me ‘Go-the-Distance’ in multiplying your kingdom’s work.”
