The
Bible says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit
(1 Corinthians 6:19). Taking care of the body God has given us is
essential to doing ministry. Our 10,000 “health
credit” goal comes in two parts.
Weight Loss Goal: Our first goal is to make a joint
effort to lose 1,000 lbs as a congregation with healthy diets,
activities and encouragement.
Exercise Goal: Our second goal is to condition our
bodies with a joint effort to accumulate 9,000 “exercise credits.”
There’s lots of room for creativity here—walking, running, biking, team
sports, exercise machines, weight lifting. Every 5 minutes spent in any
exercise activity will be considered as one credit (12/hour).
